Incorporating the Units of Competence:

  • SRF AQA 001B Instruct Water Based Fitness Classes for the General Population
  • SRF AQA 002B Instruct Water Based Fitness Activities for Specific Populations and Those With Specific Fitness Goals

This course provides the candidate with the competencies to deliver safe and enjoyable aquarobic classes for adults.

This is a correspondence course with a handbook, workbook and text all included in the course fee. There are practical supervised teaching hours to be completed under the direction of a qualified aquarobics instructor and a formal assessment. This can be completed in person or the session may be videoed and sent in for review.

  • Planning the programme
  • Communication and use of equipment
  • Program delivery
  • Monitoring feedback and class effectiveness
  • Analysing and responding to feedback
  • Follow organisational policies and procedures

Duration:

The learning is self paced. There is also a work book and an on-the-job component.

Assessment:

Formal practical assessment and open book quiz in the workbook.
